Goa Board SSC – Study Tips and Tricks

Why Securing Good Marks is Important?: Board exams are considered one of the most crucial turning points in a student’s life. This is due to the fact that any future opportunities, either academics or career is entirely dependent on the marks secured by the students. Securing low marks can potentially close off important opportunities or make it difficult to secure financial aid or grants such as scholarships. Hence, students have to ensure that they prepare well and secure good marks in their exams. Following are certain tips and tricks students can adopt if they wish to secure more marks in their exams.

Creating a Study Schedule: Regular studies are the key to success, and what better way to do that than creating a study schedule? A study schedule helps students to form a habit – which is quite important from an academic perspective. It helps the student to focus and keep a track on their targets, and routinely brush up on concepts taught earlier in their class. It is advisable to schedule the study hours when there is a minimal disturbance – either early morning or late at night.

Practice Until Perfection: Another untold truth that most students don’t follow is practice. Getting adequate practice is very important as it helps the student to recall what they learned. Moreover, the only way to learn certain subjects – such as maths and physics is to practice. Inadequate practice leads to the student’s inability to recall information. Sometimes, it can even lead to distortion of information. Hence, students must ensure that they practice important concepts regularly.

West Bengal Higher Secondary Examination Preparation Tips

Board exams are the most important phase in a student’s life. It determines their future and dictates any opportunities that may present themselves. Hence, it is crucial for the students to prepare well and ensure that they secure good marks in their board exams. The following are a few tips every student should consider if they wish to clear their exams with good marks.

  • Make a Schedule: Students must allot specific time for their studies. This can be done through the use of a schedule. A schedule helps the student to form a habit; this brings about a sense of time and responsibility. Initially, it might be difficult to adhere to a schedule, but with persistence, it can be accomplished. Moreover, ensure that the study schedule is set during hours where there is no distraction or disturbance. Hence, early mornings or late nights would be an ideal time to start a study-schedule.
  • Practice: Nearly everyone preaches this specific tip, and with good reason too. A math problem can only be better understood once the student has practiced it well. A diagram in biology can be drawn with perfection only if the student has practiced it before. A poem from the English subject can be recalled only if the student has recited it before. Hence, practice is essential for securing good marks in the exam. So, please ensure that enough time is given for practicing and perfecting important concepts.
  • Making Notes: Making notes involves the student jotting down points in a classroom during a lecture. This activity is quite beneficial as it helps the student to recall information with ease. This is due to the fact that the student not only has to listen but also has to write down the same information. This coordination between the hand and the brain improves the overall learning experience. Furthermore, those notes that the student made will enable easy recall of concepts during exam preparations. Moreover, it acts as a great tool for memorization and a quick reference guide to brush up on topics. Hence, try to make notes.
  • Sleep: This might sound absurd but sleep is an important factor in the learning process. It helps the student to recall the information that was learned during the day. It reinforces learning and improves cognitive feedback. The lack of sleep can significantly impact the learning process. For instance, it can hinder their learning process, create factual distortions during memorization and hinder the student’s ability to focus. Hence, it is advisable to get a good sleep the night before a major exam.
