It would be best if you always had examples along with the certification regarding the scout law and scout oath. The best way to ask for a letter of recommendation is by asking in person and then follow up in an email. It is a confidential document that is not returned to the candidate but sent to the review board. Thus, to become a member, work hard on getting these recommendations. It is a great honour to work as an  Eagle Scout. There is no way for the candidate to check out the recommendation files. These letters are a reflection of a scout’s life outside the Eagle Scout world.
