In Jainism, the history of the first twenty-two Tirthankar from Rishabha to Neminath is not so clear; it is just mythology. First, Tirthankaras Rishabha is mentioned in Bhagvat Purana and Vishnu Purana as an incarnation of Narayan.<\/p>\n

The twenty-third Tirthankar named Parsvanath seems to be in historical records. He was the son of the royal king Asvasena of Benares. He taught and gave the formal shape of Jainism. There is a connection between these two things the Jiva and Ajiva is Karma or Action. It decides the future of the soul. If anyone does wrong, Karma will face the perpetual cycle of rebirth.<\/p>\n

In this way, Jainism gave an impetus to formed Prakrit language and literature. After that, a rich treasure of literature of Jainism comes to the limelight, and it is known as Apabhramsa language, which is a link between the Sanskrit and Prakrit language. Jain literature consists of twelve Aangas, twelve Upangas, Agama, and Kalpasutra, written in Sanskrit.<\/p>\n

Mahavira was also related to the Bimbisara, the ruler of Magadha, who was married to Chellana, the daughter of Chetak. Mahavira was married to Yashoda, the daughter of Samarvira king, and gave birth to Anonja Priyadarshini, whose husband Jamali became the first discipline of Mahavira.<\/p>\n

At the age of thirty, after the demise of his father, he renounced his family and became an ascetic and left in search of the truth. And at the age of 42, under a sal tree at Jambhikagrama on the river Rijjupalika, Mahivara attain kaivalya (supreme knowledge) and last at the age of 72 in 468 BC he passed away at Pavapuri near Biharsarif in Bihar.<\/p>\n
