A blood group is created based on different types of antigens and antibodies that may be present or absent in red blood cells. The antigens are present on the surface of blood cells and antibodies are present in the plasma of blood cells. Depending on the antigen and antibody, human blood can be classified into four groups, namely, A, B, AB, and O.
