Burdwan University Admission Eligibility Criteria

M.A. in Bengali, English, History, Philosophy, Political Science & Sanskrit

• Second Class Honours (Regular/Special) graduate in the related subject of 10+2+3 system or course of the old 11+3 pattern from an approved university, OR,
• An applicant has the relevant subject as a combination or elective in the 10+2+3 pattern and has at least 30% marks in it, OR,
• B.Sc, / B.Com. / B.A. Pass Graduates who also passed Special B.A. with minimum 30% marks, OR,
  A pass bachelor in the 10+2+2 / 10+1+3 / 11+3 from any approved university who subsequently have 1 year Bridge Course in the relevant subject with minimum 40% marks in it, or
  An applicant with M.A. degree in a subject wants to do M.A. in any other subject by Distance learning course whether or not that subject was attempted by him/her at the degree staging, given that no M.A. in any professional subject like Music, Drama, Film Studies, Physical Education (M.P.Ed.), General Education (M.Ed.), etc. is entitled to this particular provision. Also that no M.A. in “Islamic History and Culture” or “Ancient History and Culture” from any institute is allowed to do M.A. again in History from this institute.

M.A. / M.Sc. in Mathematics

• Applicants must be a minimum of 2nd Class Hons. (Regular or Special) graduate in Mathematics with the 10+2+3 pattern from any approved University OR
• Unsuccessful Hons. an applicant has the Part-I, Part-II, and Part-III stages got Pass Degree certificate of 3-year course with minimum 35% marks, OR
• Applicants are needed at least 2nd class Hons. (Regular or special) graduate in Mathematics with the old 11+3 pattern OR
• A B.A. / B.Sc. bachelor in the 10+2+3 pattern have Mathematics as a combination / elective one with minimum 40% marks, or
• A B.A. / B.Sc. pass bachelor in the 10+2+2 / 10+1+3 / 11+3 pattern from any approved institute, who also passed 1-year bridge course in Mathematics with minimum 40% marks

M.Com.

• Second Class Hons. (Regular or Special) graduate in Commerce with the course in the 10+2+3 pattern from any approved University, OR
• Unsuccessful Hons. Candidate but have a course at both the Part-I, Part-II and Part-III stages Pass Degree certificate of 3-year course with 35% marks OR
• Second class Hons. (Regular or special) graduate in Commerce of the old 11+3 pattern OR
• A pass commerce graduate with 35% marks, OR 10+2+2 / 10+1+3 / 11+3 pattern from any approved university, who have passed a 1-year bridge course in commerce with 40% marks in it.

M.Sc in Computer Science

• A degree of B.Sc. (Hons.) in Computer Science, OR
• A degree of Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA), OR
• A B.E. or equivalent degree OR
• A B.Sc. (Hons.) degree in Mathematics / Statistics / Electronics / Physics / Chemistry with Computer Science as one of the subject, OR
• Applicants can have DOEACC A-Level or its equivalent, OR
  Applicants must have a PGDCA from the State Council of Technical Education of the Govt. of West Bengal.

MBA

• Applicant must have a 10+2+3 pattern from any approved institute
• A valid MAT /CMAT / CAT / XAT/Other approved Management Aptitude Test Score.
  Or candidates can give the Entrance Test of Burdwan University and they must have the needed score in the exam.

Burdwan University Application Process 2020

Burdwan University accepts online applications to their distance education programmes. There are three separate forms for Post-Graduation (PG), Bachelor of Education (B. Ed) and Master of Business Administration (MBA) studies. Candidates have to pay 200 rs for PG Courses and 500 rs for MBA Courses.

• Applicants must have to read & understand the instruction given here and then click on the proceed on the application button.
• Here candidates have to fill all the details and add a password of 6 alpha-numeric characters.
• After filling and submitting the form, one Application ID will be created. An applicant can log in and check the status of their application using it in the future so keep application id and password secure with you.
• After login with the application id and password, fill the all expected and accurate data in the application form.
• Also attached all asked documents with the application form. The applicants have to upload a current passport size photograph and signature
• After finishing the application form of Burdwan, applicants must have to download and print out of the Bank Challan.
