The University of Travancore later came to be known as the University of Kerala in 1937. The School of Distance Education (SDE) was later developed under the University of Kerala. They offer a total of 25 undergraduate and postgraduate courses in distance mode of learning for disciplines like Humanities, Science, Commerce, Management, IT, Library and Information Sciences, Communication, Fine Arts, and Health Sciences. Kerala University Distance Education Admission Procedure
Registration and Tentative Dates: For Distance Courses, the candidates have to apply through online methods. The University of Kerala will release the first and last dates of the examination application form on its official website. The candidates should check the site daily to remain updated about the exam.

The applicants have to receive the prospectus from the registrar office with the payment of Rs. 250/-. Candidates enrolling from international (foreign) countries have to submit a DD for Rs. 265/- extra. The Bank Draft amount should be sent with an additional amount of Rs. 10/- as the service charge.

- Step 1: Read the instructions very carefully before filling out the application form.
- Step 2: Remit the amount of prospectus while applying to the exam.
- Step 3: Log in to the official website of Kerala University.
- Step 4: A new page will emerge then tap on the link saying Online Admission for Academic Year 2020-2021.
- Step 5: Click on the Registration button for the application process to begin.
- Step 6: Log in with the unique individual application number and password provided during enrollment. Print out of the application form must be sent along with the fee receipts such as the prospectus, first-semester fee, application fee, along with DDF, and the other costs applicable for the course applied.
- Step 7: Applicants belonging to SC/ST/OEC category should give the print out of e-grant for online application for payment category concession with a copy of their SSLC, 10+2 Degree certificate, Original caste certificate, and Income certificate along with Aadhar card and Bank passbook copy for their valid identification.
