Edgar Alan Poe was born in Boston and one of the most influential American writers of the 19th century. He was the first author in the world who tried to make a living by his writing skills. During his days as editors, he established himself as a poet and a short story writer. Another set of his best works include The Murders in the Rue Morgue, The Raven, and The Tell-Tale Heart. His wife, Virginia, died in the year 1847 due to tuberculosis. As a result of which Edgar Allan Poe’s depression worsened. His work had an immense impact on American and international literature.
