NIOS Admission 2021 22: National Institute of Open Schooling which is also known as National Open School is one of the largest National Board of Secondary Education in India. The NIOS admission login exams are held two times in a year in months of October/November and April/May on the dates that are fixed by NIOS. Along with this, you are also eligible to appear for the on-demand examination held at the secondary and higher secondary level. This eligibility is only for those subjects that you appearing to have admission in NIOS. The exam fees along with the NIOS Admission dates are available in the table above. The normal NIOS fees are Rs. 250/subject and the additional fee is Rs. 120/subject that also involves practicals.

NIOS Admission Eligibility Criteria

For secondary courses, the age limitation is of 14 years. While for higher secondary, the age limitation is of 15 years.

Secondary: The minimum age that we described above for secondary students is as of 31st July 2019. Furthermore, a learner who has passed the 8th class and has valid proof that he/she is not 14 years of age can apply for this registration of the secondary course.

Also, a learner needs to give a self-certificate wherein he/she declares that they have studied enough to pursue their secondary course are also eligible for admission in the secondary course. Finally, the learner who has already studied at the secondary level and is seeking admission in NIOS either to improve their performance or complete the course can also apply.

NIOS Senior Secondary Admission: The minimum age for the higher secondary students is 15 years and this age should be as of 31st July 2019. For taking the NIOS 12th admission in the senior secondary course, the learner should have passed the secondary course from any recognized board in the 12th. Also, the learner must has passed class 10 from a recognized board.

NIOS Admission Fee Structure

Mode of Payment: To pay for the admission in NIOS, you have to pay online through credit card, master card, visa or debit card. Also, you can pay through offline modes like a bank draft that can be done through any nationalized bank in India. This should be in the name of secondary, NIOS and paid at the respective regional center.

About NVS Class 6 Admissions

In accordance with the National Policy of Education (1986), Government of India started Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas (JNVs). Presently the JNVs are spread in 28 States and 07 Union Territories. These are co-educational residential schools fully financed and administered by the Government of India through an autonomous organization, Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti.

Admissions in JNVs are made through the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) to Class VI. The medium of instruction in JNVs is the mother tongue or regional language up to Class VIII and thereafter English for Mathematics and Science and Hindi for Social Science. Students of the JNVs appear for board examinations of the Central Board of Secondary Education. While education in the schools is free including board & lodging, uniform and textbooks, a sum of Rs. 600/- per month is collected only from the students of Classes IX to XII towards Vidyalaya Vikas Nidhi. However, students belonging to SC/ST categories, all Girl students and the students whose family income is below the poverty line (BPL) are exempted.

In respect of wards of Government employees other than exempted category (Students of classes VI to VIII, all SC/ST & girl students and wards of BPL families) Vikas Nidhi will be charged at Rs.1500/- per month or actual children education allowance received by the parent per month whichever is less. However, VVN shall not be less than Rs.600/- per student per month.
