Bangalore University of Distance Education Application Form 2020
- Step 1: The application form will be available for download on the official website of the University.
- Step 2: The students can obtain the application form after visiting the official website.
- Step 3: The application form has to be downloaded and printed; it has to be filled up in the offline mode.
- Step 4: The candidates should fill in the details carefully because there is no scope for correction in case any mistakes occur.
- Step 5: A candidate can only submit one application form. In case of submission of multiple applications, the candidate’s Application and subsequent admission will be rejected.
The application form has to be sent to the University via post.
The application form can also be obtained in person. It can be obtained from the Bangalore University of Distance Education Head Office at the fee of INR 750. The price has to be paid in demand draft in favor of the same.
Payment of the Application Fee
- The application fee is INR 900.
- The application fee has to be paid via a demand draft in favor of The Financial Officer of the Bangalore
- University.
- The application fee is non-refundable.
Bangalore University of Distance Education Documents required
- Photocopies of mark sheets for subsequent qualifying examinations.

Bangalore University of Distance Education Eligibility Criteria
For BA and B.Com
- The candidates should have cleared the two years’ pre-university examination (as held by the Pre-Education Board of Karnataka) or the equivalent 10+2 examination.
- The Pre-University Examination has to have been in Vocational Courses, under the government of Karnataka.
- The candidates should possess the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination Certification.
BBA
The candidates should have cleared the two years’ Pre-University examinations ( including the Supplementary Examinations, as held by the Education Board of Karnataka) or the equivalent 10+2 examination.
MA
The candidate should have a bachelor’s degree (BA, B.Sc, B.Com)approved under the Bangalore University or any other Recognised University.
The candidate should have obtained an aggregate of 40% score in all the subjects. They should have at least acquired a 50% score in their concerned discipline.
M.Sc ( Maths)
The candidates should hold a B.Sc degree approved under the Bangalore University or any other recognized University.
The candidate should have obtained an aggregate of 50% in their undergraduate examination; they should have obtained at least 50% of the score in Mathematics.
PG Diploma and Certificate Courses
The candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline, approved under the Bangalore University or any other recognized University.
The candidate should have obtained at least a 40% aggregate score in all the subjects (including languages) in the graduation examination.
Bangalore University of Distance Education Selection Process
- The Bangalore University of Distance Education has no provision for entrance examination tests.
- The candidates are selected based on their qualifying examination marks.
- For UG courses, the candidates are selected on the basis of the marks obtained in the 10+2 board examination.
- For the rest of the courses, the candidates are selected on the basis of the score obtained in the graduation examination.
- The aggregate score is taken into consideration. Emphasis is put on the percentage of score obtained in the particular stream/discipline in which the candidate has opted for.
- After the selection has been made, a merit list is published.
- The selected candidates are also notified of their selection via post.
- The merit list will be made available on the University’s official website. The candidates can enter their login ID and access the merit list.
The selected candidates will have to enroll themselves within a stipulated time. In case of failure to do so, the candidates’ admission will be canceled.
